International Candlepin Youth Bowling Association

Dear Business Owner/Manager:

The International Candlepin Youth Bowling Association (ICYBA) is a non-profit organization which was formed in 1991 to help raise money for youth participation in local, state, and international bowling tournaments. Each year, the bowlers hold many fundraising events to help pay for their tournaments, but these alone are not enough. The ICYBA also asks local businesses, such as yours, to help by becoming an ICYBA sponsor. Any business that contributes $25 or more to our association will have their name posted on a large sponsor board which will be displayed at Pilgrim Lanes in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

This group has had great success in past tournaments, including both Massachusetts State Champions and International Champions. There are currently three tournaments scheduled for the 2009–2010 season. The first is the ICBA Youth Candlepin Championship, held in November in Portsmouth, NH. The second event is the Atlantic Coast Junior Bowling Classic, held in Nova Scotia, Canada. Last year we had nearly 100 bowlers participate in this event. The final event is the Massachusetts State Youth Bowling Championships, held in April at Pilgrim Lanes in Haverhill, MA.

The youths in this organization range in age from 5 to 18 years old. These kids are from many cities and towns including Haverhill, Lawrence, Methuen, Bradford, Danvers, Georgetown, Groveland, Lowell, Stoneham, Woburn, Wakefield, and Reading Massachusetts, as well as Atkinson, Kingston, Newton, Plaistow, Rochester, Salem, and Sandown, New Hampshire.

 
It is through the generosity of local businesses that all of these kids get to participate in these tournaments. Sponsorship can be in any amount. All donations are tax deductible. Our tax ID# is 55-0814319.We ask that you please denote the amount you are sponsoring on the attached sheet. Please make checks payable to ICYBA and mail them to:

If you cannot make a monetary donation, the ICYBA also accepts donations of merchandise and/or gift certificates that will be used for one of our many fundraising events.
